Monthly Charity Spotlight: Happyfields Animal Sanctuary

I think we can all agree that 2020 was one hell of a year. Everyone suffered in different ways, but charities have faced their toughest year ever.

We have decided to share a charity every month and encourage our readers to support them in any way they can.

The first charity we are putting in the spotlight is Happyfields Animal Sanctuary on Redhill Road.

Chrissie Bowles the owner of Happyfields said: "We are Happyfields Animal Sanctuary, we have been in existence for 12 years but only 11 of the on Redhill Road.

"Part of my ambition was not just to save animals and care for them, but open up our sanctuary to the public to visit (no charge), and also offer work experience to young people wanting to have a career in animal care, which we have been very successful in doing.

"We are, I think, the only place local to Wythall/Earlswood who offers such an opportunity. We never rehome an animal unless we cannot help them.

"We have no income, so we rely on the kindness of others. So far we have been so lucky, having the support from Jaguar Land Rover, Virgin Media, Prologis, West Mids Police."

Happyfields is such an amazing charity and will be very grateful for any donations.
