For a small village Wythall has a lot to offer. Not only are we packed full of convenience stores and a very handy Tesco, but lots of local businesses.
In the name of good journalism, my colleague and I had a Wythall News team day out to see the best of what Wythall has to offer. A very tough job but somebody has to do it!
First on our list was Bean 47. The coffee shop opened on the 9th April 2018 and is the newest business to open in Wythall. It's located on Drakes Cross Shopping Parade just off Alcester road.
Bean 47 has been very well received, the team are friendly and courteous and overall the shop has a very pleasant atmosphere.
There's a large range of drinks on offer, even if you're not a coffee lover you'll find something you like. The service was quick and most importantly our coffees were delicious.
They also allow dogs in the shop and offer them a free liver cake! Which our resident news hound, Lou the beagle, was very excited about.
After we finished at the coffee shop we dropped Lou home and headed for Becketts Farm. My mum loves Becketts and is regularly in there buying cake!
They stock loads of different items, from fruit and veg to candles. Each section is large and well displayed. It's very easy to navigate through the shop and all the staff are very friendly.
The cakes we bought were amazing and baked on site. The shop has a lovely atmosphere and is very welcoming.
It's located just off the A435.
The staff are always very polite and welcoming and the restaurant has a great atmosphere.
It's located on May Lane.
We had such a fun day out going around these local businesses and it really made us realise what we've got right on our doorstep.

The day after Rachel visited the Monsoon with her Mum and a few friends. The Monsoon provides a fantastic array of Indian food and a large vegetarian selection.
They are often busy on Mondays & Tuesdays as they offer a great deal: any starter, any main dish, any nan or rice, and coffee/mints for £11.
3 years ago, the restaurant underwent an expansion, allowing for more seating and a bigger bar, much to the excitement of many locals.
It's located on May Lane.
We have been to The Packhorse on quite a few occasions with our friends to have a few drinks.
The food and drinks are good value for money and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
The staff were very friendly and even took a photograph of us when we were struggling with the self timer!
It's located at the bottom of Packhorse lane, where it meets Alcester road.
