Woodrush School Closure

Woodrush High School will be closed tomorrow to allow 'a deep clean of the school to take place'.

There has been a high volume of students absent from school this week due to vomiting, diarrhoea and high temperature.

These symptoms are very similar to the Norovirus that is spreading around the U.K at the moment, however this is not a confirmed case of Noroviris.

The school sent an email yesterday warning parents of the symptoms and that if their children display any to keep them off school until they are symptom free for 48 hours.

This has now increased to 72 hours as they are still contagious.

They have had to make the choice to close the school tomorrow as it has 'become an area where the infection is being spread from person to person'.

Students should access work via the school website within the student tab under 'School Closure Work'.

The school will be re-opened on Monday 9th December, but if your child is still infectious please keep them at home.
